What Is HTML

HTML stands for HyperText Markup Language. It is the most popular old language to developed web pages. This is such language that uses in every other language to display the view like in PHP, JSP, ASP, etc.

HyperText Markup Language is assisted by Cascading Style Sheets and JavaScript. Without Cascading Style Sheets HTML pages will not look good.

HTML was developed by WHATWG (Web Hypertext Application Technology Working Group). If you save the HTML pages you must have to put the end of the file with .htm and .html because this the extension of HTML.

Why We Learn HTML

Because HTML is a common language that must-have for students or professionals. Because it usages has everywhere in the industry for developing and web pages.

Example Tags Description

<!DOCTYPE>: It defined the version and type of document.

<html>: It mainly behaves like a container that contains all the HTML elements.

<head>: This tag contains the header tag like <title>, <link>, etc or document information(metadata).

<title>: This tag display the document title at the top of browser window.

<body>: It contains all the documents that are visible to end users like <h1>,<span>,<div>,<p>,etc.

<h1>: It describe the heading. You can write your heading inside the <h1>or </h1>

<p>: It describe the paragraph. You can write your paragraph inside the <p>or </p>
